revolutionaries unite.
i know i always talk about how awesome my church is, and some of you may even be getting sick of it. lol. well - here's my response to that... it's my blog, and i'll write what i wanna write! lol jk.
no but really, revolution church is awesome. we had our 4th birthday lastnight and we celebrated it with a night of worship and thanksgiving. we thanked God for all of the amazing things He's done for us as a church and us as individuals. it was pretty awesome to see how many people learned who God was just through pastor dave's messages and stuff. how many lives were touched & transformed lastnight was amazing as well. people were given the opportunity to stand up and choose to follow Christ, PUBLICLY, and some people were even baptized! real good stuff.
i didn't get a chance to grab the mic lastnight to say what i was thankful for (i'm a little chicken when it comes to that), so, i'll just say it all here...
"pastor dave and revolution church... it was a year ago on august 13th that i found myself a HOME. i went to a church with a pretty awesome pastor a few years ago, but unfortunately, he had a stroke and is now sitting in a wheelchair, unable to speak or function fully on his own. needless to say, things changed drastically after that, and I realized that FCFC was no longer a place God wanted me to be. So, after about 3 years of searching for a new church, God blessed me with revolution.
i've been here for a little over the year, and in this short period of time, God has done sooooo much with my life, my character, my attitude, and my heart. i've been able to forgive people i never thought i would forgive (i still need help with this one though - slowly, but surely). i've been welcomed with open arms to pretty much everyone i've come into contact with (my other church was pretty "cliquey"). i've learned how to step up, be bold, and not be afraid to share Christ. i've learned how to "let go and let God"... and soooo much more! i'm just a better person because of revolution.
i've never been at a church that has challenged me on so many levels. but i'm better because of it. so, thanks pastor dave and revolution."
oh, we're opening another campus... REVOLUTION CARSON! so, those of you out in the south bay area, keep your eyes and ears peeled! we're starting a revolution in that area pretty soon!
